Francesco Panceri
Biografia
Vive e lavora a Crema.
genera riflessioni e possibili progetti.

“I believe that sculpture is, above all, a necessity.
I like to deeply explore the nature of things and seek a balance between the expressive power of the material and the harmony of form.
I look for possible formal and compositional variations within essential geometric figures: I deconstruct to recompose, subtract and overlap, chasing the combination in which emptiness weighs as much as fullness.”
My artistic research uses geometry as a generative matrix, but moves away from formal rigor to discover complex and unexpected balances.
I don’t believe in inspiration—I believe in curiosity and experimentation. I seek that “favorable condition” where visual and experiential stimuli spark reflections and potential projects.
Travel has become a fundamental part of my creative process, especially my experiences in the East, where I discovered a profound connection with the spirituality of essential forms and their extraordinary poetic and communicative power.
In my work, often on a large scale, I strive to create an ongoing dialogue between art, humanity, and nature.
The interaction with surrounding space and the viewer generates the necessary synergy to complete the sculpture.
I rely on the material to become the tangible body of my work, while also embodying its philosophical and conceptual soul.
Each material carries its own nature and a unique narrative potential: the primal strength of stone, the oxidative metamorphosis of metals, the muscular fiber of wood, and the subtle depth of paper.
The relationship between space and time is at the core of my poetics.
Mechanical resistance and oxidation become metaphors for change and transformation, while layering and combining different materials becomes a way to represent the balance between passion and reason—a paradigm of the human condition.”
Born in 1976, in Crema, Italy, where he attended the secondary school specializing in the art subjects and then graduated in Sculpture from the “Accademia di belle arti di Brera” in Milano.
Several of his works are in private and public collections in Italy, Australia, China, South Korean, Japan, Taiwan, New Zealand, Germany, India, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Holland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Belgium, Romania, Republic of Georgia, Poland, Albania.
